Sleights of Mind: What the neuroscience of magic reveals about our everyday deceptions.

Written by two behavioural and cognitive neuroscientists, Sleights of the Mind is a book of NEUROMAGIC, taking a look at the neuroscience and cognition underlying magic tricks! These scientists believe that there is a lot to learn from the art of magic and our vulnerability to its deception, by examining the techniques magicians and artists have created to hack into our minds, manipulating our attention and cognition.

“By understanding how magicians hack our brains, we can better understand how  the same cognitive tricks are at work in advertising strategy, business negotiations, and all varieties of interpersonal relations. When we understand
how magic works in the mind of the spectator, we will have
unveiled the neural bases of consciousness itself.”
