Dance Your Ph.D.!

11 Oct

Ever thought about how you would explain your Ph.D. topic (even your title!) to someone with no scientific background?

How about using dance?

Entrants of the 2012 Dance Your Ph.D. competition have done just that. Research students from around the globe turned their Ph.D. theses into a dance, and these entries have now been narrowed down to 12 finalists in four categories: physics, chemistry, biology, and social sciences.

The winners will be announced on Monday 15th October, but for now, you can watch the shortlisted entries here. We’ve even included our personal favourite below for you to enjoy!

“Computational approaches in high-throughput proteomics data analysis”
by Ph.D student Anna-Maria Lahesmaa-Korpinen.
