Welcome, New Neuro Lab Member!

23 Nov

NUIM Neuro Lab extends a warm welcome to new lab member Brian Stem!

Brian completed his BSc. in Psychology from the University of Graz in Austria and is now starting his PhD entitled The Effect of the Brain on the Human Brain, under the joint supervision of Dr Sean Commins and Dr Richard Roche.

We’ve been showing Brian around the lab all day, and have documented his first day of postgrad life here at NUIM Neuro Lab for you to see!

We all know you can’t start the day without a cup of tea and a chat…

Brian then officially introduced himself to the entire lab with a stellar presentation outlining his project at the Neuro Lab meeting this morning.

The early bird catches the worm: Brian gets a head start on data collection…

… and then hits the books for some lit review work before lunch.

Always eager to learn new lab techniques, Brian gets to grips with some immunohistochemical staining procedures.

Looks like it’s going to be a late one in the lab tonight!

We hope Brian enjoyed his first day, and we wish him the best of luck during his PhD here at NUIM.
